Well as I sit and dust off the keyboard I hope everyone is doing well. I’m so upset that I wasn’t able to continue writing this blog over the past 9/10 months. These past few months has honestly been the best time of my life.
I have been studying on a foundation course at GSA in Guildford, Surrey. There I have been studying Acting on an intense full-time course. It’s been completely eye opening and made me realise how hard this industry is and will be. However it hasn’t put me off, it had actually made me even more determined. After auditioning again for three year BA courses I have come out unsuccessful. Although that is definitely the wrong word. I am so much more confident in auditions compared to last year. I know that my craft and art is good and this industry is all about differing opinionS. This has helped me stop feeling personally attacked when I get a ‘no’ from a school.
I would love to talk about the course in more detail if people would want that?
Now… what’s next I hear you ask?
I’m moving to Guildford, FULL TIME! Like an ADULT!
I’ve decided to do this because I want to stay active in terms of my acting journey and living in Cheshire I don’t think would massively benefit me. The friends I have made in Guildford and London this year are definitely friends forever! I have poured my heart out to them and let them pour theirs. Unfortunately I have lost a lot of friends from my school days and I tend to feel a little lonely up here. Another reason is that I find myself coming home and retreating back to a closed off, moody version self, something that happened a lot last year. I found it hard to control emotions and my anxiety. But these past months have really helped me, given me a fresh new start, to be the best person I can be.
So I am going to be finding jobs, I’ll do anything! I have worked in cafés and pubs before so I would be happy doing any of that. I also want to continue my acting, so I will be keeping my eye out for open auditions and amateur shows etc.
My personal goals are to enjoy my life more. I’ve been severely blocked in terms of creativity lately and I want to break that wall. I feel as though that can start here on this blog. I want to create exciting content for people. Whether that is me ranting about something or a recipe or workout routine, whatever it is I want to share it here.
I also want to get loads fitter. This year I have become very interested in the vegan diet and after being a vegetarian for over ten years I have also cut out dairy products. This next coming year I would love to gain muscle and love more body fat on a vegan lifting diet.
Just blurring on the page here has already opened my mind a little and I can’t wait to continue throughout the year and I hope it is as enjoyable for you guys as it is for me.
